This is a little system that I am using to generate traffic to my blog over and over again.

1. Go to http://www.blogcarnival.com and open account.
Depending what niche you are operating within, browse through blog carnivals and bookmark
those carnivals that are related to your niche.
Submit your blog posts to each of the carnivals.
It will take some time for traffic to come to your blog but you will definitely notice the difference.
Make sure that content of your post is quality content.
If your post dont get approved for the first time do not give up! Do little tweaks here and there
and next time you should be ok.

2. Go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/gtrends/
and type the main keyword that you wrote your blog post around.

a) Have a look at the keyword variations list within the results below.
You are looking for a keyword with more than 100 searches per month
(results indicate searches per day so you need to multiply by 30).

b)Now go to Google search engine and type that keyword in quotations marks
like this: "keyword" and press enter. You are looking for the result of less than 30.000
competition

c)Write an article/post using that keyword (you can use this article as a new post on your blog)

d)Write another 2 articles around the same keyword. You can just slightly change
the first article so you will end up with 3 articles slightly different targeting the same keyword.

e)Place these 2 articles to http://www.ezinearticles.com on subsequent days
Make sure that resource box within your article is done properly
with the anchor text link (with the keywords as a link) and the raw http link
of youe website or your blog

So to sum it up:
The idea here was to end up with 3 unique articles. First one will be used as a post
on your blog and the other two (both slightly different) will be submitted to
http://www.ezinearticles.com

3. Go to http://www.mybloglog.com, create an acount, browse around
and submit

4. Blog reciprocation
Find some blogs within your niche (type "your niche blog" in Google to find them)
and check the posts on these blogs. Pick a post you like and write a post on your blog about this
post you like with the link back to the blog. You can write about why you like this post and expand on it.
Dont forget to put the link back to this post.
Most of the time you will be awarded the same by the blog owner.

5. Blog commenting
Again visit the blogs within your niche and leave constructive and quality comments.
Please do not leave the comments like "I like your blog".
