Hi that Garry is a whirlwind, I seem to take a long time to do some of the simple tasks and then, get it right only for Google to take a few days to go live on the analytics I thought it was something that I had done, oh well, learning all the time. Could not understand why it was not working when I had enabled it on other sites with no problem.

Sitting here with laptop on my knees listening to the rain lashing
against the window and the near gale force wind.

I’m in Cornwall just about 3 miles inland from the Atlantic, my North Westerly
horizon. listening to nit I for one wouild not want to be on any yacht tomorrow, best of luck Alex Jeffreys hope you have a supply of paper bags!

Wonder if you have looked at the Forum I have put up yet. If not pop over and register, there are already around 20 members and posts are already picking up in number, excellent

link is http://www.g4usbmarketing.com/forum

I have just changed my blog theme for a three column one with widgets and have been working at editing and fine tuning. At last after 4 days
analytics has started to work so I had done it ok it just took that long to kick in. Learning all the time.

Anyway, nice to touch base with another friend I have yet to meet.

Norman

You are a link on my site by the way

Hey Gordon, it’s great what Alex is doing for us isn’t it? Can’t wait to hear back from his Ireland trip. I like your page – Could you help me out with something? I can’t find out how to change that banner around and edit it. How did you do it? thanks!

Hello Gordan:

Good for you, getting up a blog that looks this good in such a short time (and with no background in blogginess!). This really is a great community, isn’t it?

I’m making the rounds to meet all my fellow students – making sure to really read a post or two and write a personalized comment to each one. So it will take me awhile at that rate to get to everyone, but taking that extra step will help me get to know everyone that little bit better, I think!

Anyway, gotcha on my blogroll and hope you’ll return the favor!

Cheers and good luck,
Susan

Hi Gordan!

Like some of the others, I’m making my nightly rounds to visit my fellow students’ blogs. I like your site…nice and clean, easy to navigate.

I’m posting everyone to my blog roll as soon as I’ve actually been to their site and left a comment…I really do want to get to know the individuals that make up this great community!

Mark Austin December 14, 2008 at 10:52 pm

Hi Gordon,

I mentioned your ‘how to’ page in my last post so hopefully it will start to fill up with great content :)
I just finished the 1st draft of my first ebook and
I wondered if you could help me?

I get many questions a day on my blog and by email about
blog related topics. So the book I am putting together
answers most of these, but I would like to know if you
can think of anything else that could be included. Even
better would be any questions you want answered.

The ebook covers Wordpress settings, changing the header,
widgets, plugings, adding aweber, adsense, adverts and more.

I have just posted on my blog so if you can think of anything else
I should cover, please leave a comment.

Thanks!
Mark

Gary Simpson December 16, 2008 at 3:16 pm

Hi Gordan,

This is one neatly laid out site – same as Mark Austin’s, I think.

Just thought I’d stick my head in here for a bit. It is so difficult to get around to everyone – a FULL time job in itself.

Anyway, I have a little competition going on over at Gary-Land where you folks get to tease my “PROJECT X” details out of me in a game of YES/NO.

Wanna play?

Regards

Rod Warnock December 23, 2008 at 8:32 pm

Hi Gordan,
thanks for your offer of help with my Blog. Following last nights webinar I have looked up woothemes.com, but in all honesty I am not in a position to pay out that kind of money for a new theme at this stage. I am convinced that I should be able to find a modern free theme. Obviously if you have any suggestions I would welcome them. I have still to find my way around the other areas of the Blog set up apart from about and posts which are ok.
I look forward to hearing from you.

All the Best
Rod

Gordan December 24, 2008 at 5:07 am

Hi Rod,
No need to pay any money for new theme. There are hundreds you can choose by browsing in wordpress and they are free. My advise is to pick one that has left side bar, middle for content and right side bar and not to big header. Template needs to be clean, crisp and simple without too much ditraction.
Always pick white background with black letter, never other way around as people do not like back background with white letters.
If you need help in all this let me know. I am happy to help, just need to find few hours free :)
Regards
Gordan
